lumber brace edge distance minimum for lag screws?

I will be using a diagonal brace similar to this picture. I only have very minimal axial loads on the brace.
So the brace size and bolts will be minimum. This guide from FEMA doesn't show the edge distance and bolt distance.

I plan on using 1"x6" for the diagonal brace but not sure if I will meet the minimum edge distances required.

Also I'm used to using 3/4" dia bolt as minimum for steel in my industry.
What is the minimum bolt diameter you will use in this case (lumber/timber) brace?

I wouldn't be bothering with using a 1x6, those aren't worth anything structurally. 2x6 or bigger. The edge and end distances you want to know about are in the NDS.

Yup, buy the NDS if you are doing wood design.

I will use 2x8 .. 2" edge distance and 4" bolt distance.. and 1/2" dia lag screw.. this should be good..

I'd opt for galvanized spikes, maybe 4. Stagger the locations.
