Hi,

What is the word for the phenomenon where two flat surfaces in contact stick to each other due to the presence of fluid in the contact?

What is the physical explanation of this sticking effect? Could the effect be eliminated by minor geometry modifications of the contact surfaces?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
