Hello, I opened up some of my drawings and found my diameter symbol in the hole callouts changed to <MOD-DIAM> all over. Any idea why this happened and how to fix it? Thanks!

Sounds like a problem with your gtol.sym file. It should be located somewhere in your install directory.

Thanks handleman, but I am referring to the standard diameter symbol that appears at the front of every hole callout, not the GD&T symbol in frames.

Thanks CBL, where should the file go?

I have seen this happen when you have two applications of SolidWorks running on your computer at the same time. Check to make sure this is not the case.

Thanks all, but PeteDB hit the nail on the head. If only I would remember to reboot every time I run into a weird situation. . . thanks again!

It just happened to me, out of the blue. Last night was ok, this morning it does the "MOD-DIAM" thing instead of the diam symbol. I've never seen this in 10 years of Solid Works. I don't have two instances running.

Rebooting my computer fixed the problem.

Leaving SolidWorks running overnight will always cause it to misbehave in the morning. Several days at a time can be done but I would highly discourage it.
