I am working on design of a LPG (propane) truck loading facility for a refinery. Any tip regarding current best practices would be appreciated. I have reviewed API 2510, 2510A and 2003 and NFPA 58. Thanks.
Many LPG loading stations use Blackmer or Corken pumps. Check for their recommended piping and recirculation configurations.
There are a number of emergency shutdown valve, back check valve, excess flow valves, and remote trip valves offered by Fisher Controls -Regulators Division, and also REGO Products -ECII. These valves help comply with functional requirements of NFPA 58.
These also desccribe the valves and fittings seen on transports.
