I am involved in a review of a design of a potted high voltage (12kV) PCB assembly using Lord SC309 potting compound. We are noticing voltage punching through the potting in areas where there is margin in the thickness providing more than enough dielectric strength. The condition of the cured potting bothers me as it crumbles easily. Has anyone had experience with this compound?
