I am looking for any Cellular and Microwave radio path system design software. I currently use Pathloss version4 and am looking for any other compairable programs. Any suggestions would be greatly appretiatted.

There is a new piece of software out called Athena which is outstanding. Most of the other tools on the market use empirically based slope-intercept models which require extensive drive testing and calibration before you can begin to use them. Athena uses a predictive, physical optics, Fresnell-Kirchov method based on Huygens principle. Each path is integrated to infinity above each diffracting point along the path and the results are typically within a sigma of 5 dB (compared to measured data) in most morphologies I've seen. You can use the same licence to plan CDMA, GSM, TDMA, LMDS, or even microwave profiles, and I think they are comming out with a 3G release pretty soon. Most other tools like this are "modular" meaning if you want to predict in a different technology, you have to buy a new "module". Anyway, I've had fantastic results with it. You can check out more about it at
