Hey guys, first time poster here.

I am a road designer and I am looking for some new software that may help with doing quantity takeoffs and estimating.

Basically I'd like to be able to select a pay item, select a sheet number, and then be able to enter in multiple raw data obtained from CAD (like square footage) then have it convert to a quantity that will be bid on (like square yards) and then have it output a summary into a useful format (like excel). Seems like a relatively simple thing to do but gets very complicated in excel documents.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks.

RoadRage - our company still measures and computes Take-Offs by hand. However, I did notice that the lates version of InRoads has a take off component. I am sure that ACAD has one as well; you may want to look into those.
