Looking for cheap, flanged, plastic sleeve 1

Hey all,
I've been on a hunt for this part for the past several work days. For the life of me I can't recall what this is called in order to make a useful search. When I worked in the transportation industry, there were these flanged tubes that would be inserted in vehicle doorways to prevent wear on cables (now they might use springs). The flange had 2-3 holes used for attachment to B or C pillars. It basically serves as a grommet, but has a lose fit around whatever is being passed through it's center. These were probably polyethylene or polypropylene, something very inexpensive.

Flange ~1.5"-3" diameter
Length ~2"-3" long
Tube~ .5"-1" diameter

If someone can rattle my brain (or provide a source), I'd be most appreciative.

Whenever I know a part exists, but can't think of the specific name, I go to mcmaster.com. Since they sell almost everything imaginable, if it exists then that is where you can find it.

Try "standard cord grips" or "strain relief" at McMaster-Carr. They don't look exactly like your picture, but seem to serve the purpose. Also "grommet".

I would call it a flanged plastic bushing. Perhaps adding the word "protective" would differentiate it from a bearing bushing.

I've been to Grainger, McMaster, Heyco, Digikey, etc. I'm almost ready to cut a 3/4" tube into 1" lengths and call it a day.

Thanks for the link asimpson! I can use Skiffy Series 312 Insulation Sleeves, that last one on the list will fit my application.

Look at

then look at their SB, UB or OCB Series bushings. Also look at their FBH Series bolt hole plugs, they have longer bodies for a given dia., but you would have to punch the closed end out to use it the way you want.
