I"m working on a new snow load study for the State of Washington and I've determined that a Log Pearson Type III distribution is the most appropriate statistical model to employ for the snow load data. I've searched online and found many instances of an LPIII being applied to waterflow type problems but so far nothing has come up for direct applications to snow loads. I think I've figured out the math (its not too hard) however an example of this type of distribution applied to a snow load problem would be very helpful and definitely boost my confidence level.
