I have following data from name plate fo motor operated outdoor disconnect:
Type: MO-10
Motor Volt: 48V DC
Control Volt: 48V DC
Motor HP: 3/4
Motor RPM: 1750
Output torque: 22,000

How can I calculate the locked rotor current from above information? I need to know this current for battery sizing.

Calculate? There isn't sufficient information.

As an estimate, the motor likely draws about 15A at full load, and locked rotor current could easily be 10x that, but that's neglecting the interconnecting cables which will need to be accounted for.

If we learn from our mistakes I'm getting a great education!

Does the schematic for the motor controls show any starting resistor(s) in the starting circuit? If the resistor size is shown, use the ohmic value to calculate the inrush.

Is this a series motor? If so the current may be limited by the resistance of the conductors and the battery internal resistance.
The good news is that as soon as the armature starts to rotate the back EMF will reduce the current.

vtb1,
The best method is to get it from the manufacturer. He shall provide you the test reports contractually.Otherwise take 8 times the steady state current of the motor for one minute duration for battery sizing.
