Hello All,

Please, What would be a good procedure to get the maximum loads (or contact pressure ) to avoid a local buckling in a pipe, for example : a straight pipe supported on the middle of span ( the region pipe/support ) and the maximum moment which could be applied on a curved pipe (elbow) to avoid the critical ovalization and buckling ?

Thanks for the help.

Try Tubular Steel Structures by Troitsky.
One of the three good Lincoln Welding series of books.

Hello,

In this case I would have a pressure and hot pipe (B31.1/B31.3).

Thanks
