Hey all,
I am trying to simulate the post behavior of a Masonry wall subjected to out of plane uniform distributed load. The problem is Load control is incapable of overcoming the peak as expected and Arc length
control is highly unstable post peak. Use of displacement control is also a problem as input to simulate two way bending with prescribed displacements isn't accepted by my software, TNO Diana. Is there a way to use
Displacement control to produce an equivalent effect as uniform pressure on a wall ? Also, if I let iterations continue (in the absence of convergence) in case of arc length control how can I scientifically interpret
a non converged step ? As in, what terms do I use, say rate of convergence or percentage ... ? Any help in this regard is much appreciated.
Thanks
Mani
