hello I want to know what are the essential load or rather the loads that most cases engineering civil engineering forget their size of the works (in a new petrochemical project) thank you

I expect most answers will be "refer to construction codes".

In my opinion, back in the days of allowable stress design it was less likely that an engineer would forget to apply a code-prescribed load. Now, with all the various code-prescribed load combinations, it is more likely to occur. Mind you, I didn't say justifiable; just more likely, or, more possible, if you will. Hopefully it doesn't happen often.

If you're doing petrochemical work, get a copy of PIP STC01015. It defines a lot of common petrochemical load values and cases. It's also likely that any reasonably sized client has their own standards. There are also local building regulations to look at.

yes it's true sorry, I know what is the load that must take more predence in the dimensions of different books.
