Dear All

I'm building an oil well measurement system mounted on skid, my doubt: How can I calculate where to put the lifting eyes
and get the right the load distribution when it be lifted whithout deflection.Any software?
Skid is 23,22' x 7,54', all stuff with vessel pipes, instruments, weight 5,5 tons.

Can you put lifting eyes on all four corners?

Just thinking out loud.

Tobalcane,
Yes, I can put eyes on alll four corners, that's my post concern. where to put the eyes the skid be balanced when we lift to move from location to location on a truck.

If the equipment on the skid is fixed in place, calculate the center of gravity of the arrangement, locate lifting points symmetrically around that point. That should allow level lifting.

That's what a call a three points shot. It, really, will some the problem, how didn't I think about it before?

Thanks a lot

see MIL-STD-209 - locat the lift points outside the 120deg "cone of silence" from the CG [i.e., @ the corners] fo ra stable lift
