Hello Everyone,

Just a basic question on load combinations in Eurocodes as i am new to Eurocodes.
I have received the following loads from strcutural engineer.

Permanent Loads:
Vertical Compression (kN) = 50
Vertical Tension (kN) = 0
Horizontal shear (kN) = 0

Variable Loads:
Vertical Compression (kN) = 40
Vertical Tension (kN) = 30
Horizontal shear (kN) = 20

So in SLS case how i can take the combinations for my pile design ?
My understanding is when the tesnion force as variable will be acting the permanent compression load will be there to resist, So in SLS case:
Vertical Compression (kN) = 50+40 = 90
Vertical Tension (kN) = 0
Horizontal shear (kN) = 20

Kindly help me out undertsanding the load combination to be adopted.
Thank you for your time.
