Hello,

Can someone please help me figure out how to determine if the load of a tractor with tracks can handle driving along a buried pipeline in the field.
I am following the API RP 1102 manual but I am having a hard time applying it to my situation.

Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

How deep is the pipeline? How heavy is the tractor? Width of track length of track? Soil type? Then go to AASHTO to find out.

Depends what the pipe is made out of. ACPA has some good info if it's made out of concrete. If it's made of plastic or steel, there are different equations you have to use in regards to AASHTO.

Thank you Everyone for your help.
