Hello collages,

I write to you because I want a good book for non-linear problems (plasticity and contact, mainly) but easier to understand. I'm involved in this subject now: I don't like to be an expert in this, but I want to know how control and how work the algorithms implemented in Abaqus.

Thank you very much for your attention. Best regards,

jJ

Hi,
you should try the series "Finite Element Method" written by Zienkiewicz. (Volume 1 and 2)

Kind regards

Dear xaero24,

Thank you very much, I have these books. But I'm interesting in a easier document (similar to class notes or something like this).

Regards,

jJ

Hi,

I found these books very helpful:

"Nonlinear Continuum Mechanics for Finite Element Analysis"
by Javier Bonet and Richard D. Wood

"An Introduction to Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis"
by Junuthula N. Reddy

Also, this website:

Good luck!
