I found that Sonnenhof Holdings offers a 1300 node affordable FEA software, but can't find any independent reviews. Has anyone used this software and is there any testing for its accuracy of results?

Thanks!

I can't find any. What would you be prepared to pay for such a report? How much detail do you need?

To be honest the only person who can decide if it is usable and accurate enough for you is... you.

I've had a bit of a look at it. The user interface has improved by a factor of a million since I last used it, to the extent it now look and acts like any other windows program. Capabilities seem rather good in fact, I particularly like the way it distributes nodal loads. I'll check the accuracy for couple of simple cases tonight, and try and mesh an STP file. If it does all that, they get my beer vouchers.

Thanks. My post was based on the fact that more widely distributed (and more expensive) software usually have many reviews, that's all.
