Linked bodies failing in NX7.5

I have a customer drawing that has linked bodies. These bodies have been moved so they can be used in an exploded view.

The file will open fine sometimes but other times some of the bodies will no longer be in the list and the drawing view will fail.

That same file can be opened again and be fine.

I can open and close the file back to back without doing anything to any connected file and it works sometimes and not other times.

There are no broken links, the linked bodies do not even show up. Not all the bodies, just a few of them. Like the ones that I need.....

What is happening and how can I fix it. This is a customer file so I am not at liberty to post the file.

thx

The bodies are linked into the drawing file? or linked into other parts that are then used as components in the drawing file? How and where are you creating the exploded view?

Can you create a simplified "dummy" assembly that illustrates the problem and upload that?

the file has a 3d model in the assembly tree. The linked bodies come from that external 3d model.

I think that exploded views need components to work correctly. I doubt that you can 'explode' linked bodies in the drawing file.

I guess we use the term wrong. I mean that my linked bodies have been "moved" and then I can make a view of them that resembles an exploded view.

I took my good customer file and copied it to another directory. Though it still reads the 3d model, it loses the linked bodies. They appear to be there in the tree but you cannot see them. if you check the layers it says that layer has bodies.
