Hi, I have a assembly with many parts. I want to lable each part with a sketch containing a text with the filename of each part. I know it's possible to link the filename to a note. ($PRP:"SW-File Name". Can this be done to text in a sketch aswell?

Thanks!

Many thanks!

One more question...

I have made a new part with a sketch called "sketch2". I've set the 3 property rows. This seems to work out. I use the ($PRP:"SW-File Name") and it return the actual file-name. I've also set up the equation "Dummy"= "code". But I can't make text in the sketch to change. Is there something I'm doing wrong och forgotten? When I edit your file it works fine, but not in the one I created.

Thanks again!

Did you make sure you got the entire contents of the "code" custom property copied over into your new file? The custom property called "code" actually contains about 20 or so lines of VBA code. Only one line shows at a time in the Custom Properties dialog.

Alternately, you can delete everything in the example file and create your own geometry. Then all you have to do is edit the custom property "NameOfSketchWithText" to whatever sketch you put your text in.
