Wasn't too sure where to post this topic.
We have a couple of applications where lime is being entrained in oil for milling trunnions. I know the root cause is that we should be ripping these apart and rebuilding seals, but it is just not feasible in the near future. So, I am looking for thoughts/ ideas on seperation of lime and oil, as we presently do oil changes basically weekly.
I know when I worked in the gas sector we started using a multi cyclone seperation system on compressors to sift out solids and burned oil. We went from doing an oil change semi-annually to every 3 years, and could have safely went 5.
Any experience witch soemthing like this or any reccommendations?
