Lightwave 3D to Pro/Concept

As the subject suggests, I need to get files from Lightwave 3D into Pro/Concept. Is this possible?

I havent used lightwave but I think it outputs obj files?

Is that the same as a wavefront file? I think you can bring in alias files into Pro Concept using the wavefront object filter.

I dont know if thats the same as an obj file though.

Don't think obj files can be imported to Pro/E (I assume Pro/Concept is the same way) but stl can be.

I have the option of opening obj files under file>open in wildfire ( I havent looked in 2001).

In pro concept there is a filter for wavefront objects, I am assuming they are the same but I have never tried. I can try opening one for you if you like.

I just talked to a developer from PTC and he says you can open obj files in pro concept and that the obj extension is not specific to wavefront. So try the wavefront filter and

let us know how it works out.
