Does anyone have a good reference for design of light gage slip tracks in curtain walls?

Have you looked at the MBMA (metal building manufactures association)?

There standard steel stud manual doesn't give a ton on info but it gives some info on the required thickness of the track flange subject to a point load. I can attach the section tomorrow if you interested.

Do you have a specific connection detail that is troublesome or are you looking for "Curtain Walls 101"? The SSMA has a few details and a couple articles on nested tracks, . The Cold Formed Steel Engineers Institute a few technical notes, Several companies manufacture a variety of slip connections (Dietrich, Steel Network, . . . ).
