We recently installed a scissor lift table on one of our custom furnaces to act as the door mechanism. The total load on the lift table is 2500# and our customer requires that it descend in less than five seconds. At this rate, we are noticing a shuddering when it first begins to drop.
The setup for the table is as follows: Signal is sent to a pump that drives through a hydraulic hose, through a control valve, to a cylinder that raises the lift. The oil resides in a vented reservoir until it is pumped into the cylinder. The backside of the cylinder is vented through a plastic hose back to the reservoir. For descent, a signal is sent to a solenoid valve that opens and allows for the lift to lower. Oil travels back through the control valve, through the hydraulic hose, and into the reservoir.
The manufacturer is sending us some replacement parts (solenoid, control valve, hose) to swap out because they think the problem may be there. We want to have a contingency plan if that doesn't work.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of application?
