What are the most applicable methods for leak detection in above ground storage tanks

Kindly be specific;
Roof,Floating Roof,Shell,Shell Roof Periphery,Shell Bottom Periphery, Bottom etc.
Hope you will appreciate varying work quantum/techniques in various cases.

Most sensitive or accurate?

Usually tight inventory control is the first head up.

Periodic double floor (if applicable) sampling/shell visual inspection.

Plus the usual 5 years external/10 years internal inspection by API accredited inspectors.
