LEADER NOTE LINE WEIGHT DEFAULT SETTING

When I use the leader note command from the annotate pull down menu in MDT2004 the line weight always come up @ .05mm & does not print legably.
The AM_5 default layer is set to .25mm to no avail.
How do I set the default so I do not have to manually change each & every leader note to .25mm lnwt.?
