Lead particles penetrating the refractory

During the casting of an iron alloy some part of LEAD particles contained there penetrate the lining of the furnace. The refractory material is porous and "absorbs" them, so they keep accumulating at the lower part of the structure, advancing towards the cooler zone, where the magnetic motor is situated, used to move the cast iron. This accumulation of lead forms a barrier that decreases the performance of the whole cycle.

Has anyone encountered with this problem? Any advice of how to solve this case or to improve the performance would be appreciated.

This will happen in many refractory lined furnaces, people used to wait for reline so they could take the lead and make sinkers for fishing!

Advancing to the lowest part of the structure as in where water would sit if poured in empty shell is normal. If possible then maybe you could try to physically re-direct where the lowest part of the structure ends up (away from the stirring mechanism).
