I have recently read a paper regarding the study of neural networks in the LD converter. In this paper, there is a table with the average, min and max valuables of all variables used and the min value of scrap used was 0. But the process require the use of scrap to absorb the heat from the oxidation of elements like C, P, Si, Mn and Fe. Is there any type of LD process that requires no scrap at all?
