Hi all,
This is not my first post on that subject, but I don't find any input. So I will try here to simplify my problem.
I want to extract the interlaminar stresses at an interface between 2 layers, for a composite plate under uniaxial extension. For instance, if I take a [45/-45]s laminate, I want to extract Sz, Sxz and Syz at the 45/-45 interface. Since I'm using Solid46 elements, there is an element on both sides of the interface, so I get 2 different solutions at the same node. Does anyone know the procedure for calculating a correct value of interlaminar stresses? I mean, do I have to add up the solutions from the two elements on each side of the interface, or substract them, or whatever?
Any input would be appreciated! Thanks in advance...
