Hi,
I am designing a key pad that utilizes a Latex membrane.
Can anyone suggest a synthetic material with similar mechanical properties?

Thanks in advance.

Look for "Liquid" Silicone rubber LSR.
These silicon rubbers have to components that are mixed
togehter and then are vulcanized by injection moulding.

Most key pads e.g. in cellular phones are made of this
material.

It also has the advantage that it does not cause allergies.

You can have a look here:

The question is (always) what amount of money you want to spend for your project:)
