My project specify a Lateral Vesselet for branch connections to a flare header. Is a Lateral Vesselet stronger than a BF Latrolet?

Is there a way I can determine the SIF for a Lateral Vesselet?

The piping codes B31.1/B31.3 (and their SIF equations) don't address laterals. You have two options:

1) Ask the vendor of the fitting, or
2) Perform your own FEA to determine these values.
