lateral spreading

Hi
So according to my research , a case i am studying right now exhibit a lateral spreading of firm silty OC clay over a soft shale foundation because of pore water pressure
what kind of remedial do you guys use in this situation knowing that the site is not that important ( low population ) and the slope is 7-13 %
