I have an Amada Quattro, my problem occurs when I first switch on the laser, run a program then pause the program. When the door is opened I get an alarm '4079 push reset key' which cuts out the high voltage on the laser, and the only way to restart is to completely shut down the machine and start again.
It used to happen very rarely but is getting more and more common.
The alarm claims to be an emergency stop button being pressed.
Any help with why I am getting this alarm and how to stop it occurring would be brilliant.

On almost all Amada lasers there are only two things that cause a emergency stop condition. One, is a button and the other is a hard over travel. X and Y and sometimes Z have limit switches at the end of the stroke that cause an EMG if they are depressed.

Most of the time machine builders make these circuits a "fail safe". In this case if the wire going to the switch is broken, then it puts the machine in a E-stop. To me, this is what it sounds like is going on.

I have never seen a quatto with a door so I am not sure if that plays a roll in the situation or not. You will just have to look at each of the axes and see if its possible that a wire if separating when the alarm occurs.

One thing that might help, if you clear all the alarms and stop conditions, then turn the laser key off then right back on with in a few seconds, the Laser should start back up in about three minutes or so.
