Seems that cracks that allow water to intrude contribute to corrosion that contributes to .....
The "inspectors" reports - who is looking at them?

They make all their money off of gambling out there, so why not a little gamble on the structural adequacy of their monorail too. What fun would a ride on the monorail be if there wasn’t some risk to life and limb?

Rail steel typically is pearlitic, so no, they don't bend. They certainly bend the rules though, that corbel doesn't look like it's conforming to the specs...
 
Did anyone else hear that “whhhooooshhh” sound?

Edit: 1 out of 2 picked up on it. Faith slightly restored in humanity…
 
I need to start watching that show again...(I'm embarrassed to say I had to look that up.)
