Hi All,

Can anybody tell me how to import a .las file into NX12 ?

This las file is the output of an 3D scanner.

Don't think that NX is capable of doing this. Most 3D scanners however should be able to generate an STL file. This is no problem for NX to import.

Or you need to find an online translator for .las to .stl

There is a "steinbichler" import. If i understand it correctly, that is a common 3d scan format.

Hi All,

Please find the .las file attached. (see link)
I've found a converter which translates the .las file into a point cloud. (LAStools)

To import this file (.txt) takes a long time.

Which genius can help me to make a usable .stl file out of the .las.

Tomas,

What do you mean with a steinbecher import? Is this an extra NX module?

Tomas,

Don't think this is the solution. This translater asks for .ac files.... :(

I was rather hoping that your scanner could output a steinbichler file instead of .las
