large strain in ABAQUS

Do you know whether ABAQUS can takes into account large strain for CAX8R element?

Hello mojblue,

I am going to interpret large strain to mean you are modeling an elastomer and therefore should be using the hybrid version of the element. Other than that you should be fine.

CAX8R can handle large strains. That does not have to be restricted to large strains in elastomers or other hyperelastic materials. It also includes large plastic strains in elastic-plastic materials and visco-plastic materials as well.
