Large HV Motors _ Heating and Cooling Time Constants

Can some one suggest where to get typical heating and cooling time constant information for large HV motors, say, 1000kW rating.

The motors are old and manufacturer's data sheets are not available.

How much cooling air do motors need? I read that for 80C rise, 80 to 100 cubic feet per minute (cfm) of air per kilowatt of motor loss. "Managing motors" by Richard L. Nailen, P.E. has a great chapter on the subject with charts to translate that into airflow per rated horsepower for typical open motors (TEFC motors won't be much different). For special motors (multi speed, high slip, vfd's) which won't fit this pattern, as the above post stated, consult the manufacturer.
