If I purchase a laptop in US for use in Europe - what are the areas I need to consider.
What do I need to get for Voltage.
Do I need to consider anything re. DVD Player.
Is there anything else.
Thanks.

Hi Sparky2k3,

I'm glad to see that I am not alone on this site in this special day for all "beleivers"...

In regards to your request, most notebooks or should I say laptops, those days come ready to work anywhere in the world, but some of the well known brands (Dell, HP, Compaq, Sony etc...)they put it into writhing. I know that in Europe you must have an adapter from 120V to 220V before you plug it in. In some cases you have a switch to flip on the unit itself.

Most of them come with CD-R/DVD combo in one unit or swapabale.

I hope that this directed you in the right direction; if you need more details, and I can help, it will be my plesure
Happy holidays
