Laboratory Lighting Design

can somebody tell me if there is any special consideration during designing the lighting system for laboratoties.

You could also look into the IES recommended lighting levels for that area classification.

Any time I ever did a wet lab, I had some lighting throughout the room on a central battery/inverter system so that no one would ever be left in the dark at an inopportune time.

can you clarify more about it, my interest is to know about the minimum lux required, glare, and if there is any other special requirements for wet lab.

The IES recommendations would be a good place to start. Something in the 75fc range comes to mind, but its been a few years since I was doing that kind of work. I'd then put 10-20% of the lamps on a continuous power source, evenly distributed throughout the space, so that it would never go completely dark anywhere. The rest of it comes down to figuring out a lighting design that works with the space and meets the needs of the project.
