Thanks,Mpparent,

I don't have a specific system topology. I can think about a typical one right now.
One ulility line U1 is feeding a plant through a 34.5/13.8KV transformer(DELTA/WYE-G),A MOTOR IS CONECTED TO 13.8KV bus through a trans( 13.8KV/ 4.16KV wye-g/wye-g), A generator is feeding 13.8KV bus through a 4.16/13.8KV Trans(wye-g/wye-g ). A L-G fault is expected on 13.8KV Bus.
I am wondering what kind of data I should acquire from Manufacturers and utility, especiallly for zero sequence data.
Thanks.

This wouldn't happen to be a homework problem would it?

Thanks a lot, Mike

I know It is a bit difficult for any electgrical engineer. But I just want to clarify some methodologies through short-circuit studies.

The IEEE Buff book may have much of the information you need. Also, if you know the cable type, you can get part of the information you require from the manufacturer. Your generator should have a data sheet that came with purchase showing all of the time constants, etc. you would require. The motor should have a nameplate, and if you performed factory tests, that information would be available. Does that answer your question?
