I need to switch a plc input by means of a computer say input 1. What hardware do I need to do this?
We will be using a Excel program which ran on windows 98 but we want to use windows 7 and a KM easy 412 plc.
We are trying to do booking of squash lights on the computer and physical switching of the lights is done by the plc.
At this stage inputs are activated manually.There is no r232 connection on the plc only a usb cable to plc which used to program the plc.So I am looking for pc (excel) to switch some form of hardware which in turn will give a pulse to switch the input
