The list of commands available for keyboard shortcuts(tools>customize>keyboard) is different on my coworker's computer. For example, move component and rotate component (under Tools list on my computer) and mate (under Insert list on my computer) are simply not listed on his computer. And I know this sounds crazy, but I've found commands listed on my computer that I swear were previously unlisted, and vice versa. Are there keyboard shortcut gnomes running around anyone else's computer or just mine?

At some point or another, one or both of you have probably changed your shortcuts. This is not hard to do. Another possibility is that your VAR might have provided you with a CUS file (ours did) and it was set up properly on one system but not on the other.
If you want both systems to have the same shortcuts do this:
Modify the shortcuts on one system so that they do what you want them to.
Go into your Program Files\SolidWorks\User directory with Windows Explorer.
If you log onto your computer with the name ‘Cmm’, there will be a Cmm.cus file in that directory.
Copy that file onto the other system and change the name so that it is the same as his log in name .cus and restart SW.
If the two of you use each others systems occasionally and both of you want to have the ability of customizing the system YOUR way, copy that file to his system and copy his to yours. When each of you log in you will use your own .cus file and your shortcuts will be what you expect.
