Key shortcut to cycle between Windows ??

Hello

How can I cycle or switch between different windows (of openened parts) using the keyboard?
I can't find the key combination.
I've tried to assign it with Tools->Customize->Keyboard-> but I can't find anything interesting there.

Some programs typically use ctrl+tab

Alt - o (letter o, not zero), then the number of the window in the menu list.

This issue of support for 'Ctrl+Tab' to switch documents is linked to whether an application supports something called 'SDI' versus 'MDI'. Below is a quote from one of our senior R&D people taken from another forum where this same issue came up a while back. I think it at least explains that there are two industry 'supported' schemes and while it does not attempt to completely justify the decisions that we've made, it does allude to part of the problem with trying to decide whether there really is a consensus as to which scheme to use or not:

There are two "standard" styles of interface in common use in Windows
apps. They are called the "Single Document Interface" (SDI) and the
"Multiple Document Interface" (MDI). Microsoft can't make up their minds
which is better -- the Office apps switched from SDI to MDI several
years ago, and they're halfway through switching back again. So, as
others have noted, the current Office apps are a mixture. NX is an SDI
app, like MS Word, so the Ctrl+Tab shortcut isn't applicable. If you
Google "MDI" and "SDI", you'll find endless discussions of the pros and
cons of the two approaches.

Not sure if this will satisfy anyone, but it at least might shed some light on why these sorts of things are not able to be addressed by simply following accepted industry 'standards', de facto or otherwise.

NX is an SDI app

That's interesting.
I don't know (nor do I care) what it is "under the hood"; but from a user perspective, with a few tweaks to the Window menu, it would be indistinguishable from an MDI application.

JohnRBaker, But in most SDI applications (such as Word) you can use "Alt+Tab" to cycle through the Windows.
I didn't see different NX Windows at once(one for each opened model) that's why I guessed NX was MDI (without tabs).

And another question about shortcuts...
How can I rotate around the x, y or z eaxis with the keyboard?

If you're running NX 5.0 or newer, just select the appropriate X, Y or Z axis of the 'triad' in the lower-left corner of the display and then either enter the desired rotation angle in the angle-entry widget, or to move the display dynamically around the selected axis, just hold down the middle-mouse buttom (MB2) and drag your cursor.

I knew that, but I would like to know a method to rotate around different axis without needing to first select with the mouse every axis.
I think this is not a "soft" and efficient method, you need to move a lot the mouse and click many times.

When I mean efficient I mean something like when you use a 3D mouse but, with the keyboard.

If you have a so-called '3D mouse', which I assume is something like a 'Spaceball', why would you ever want to use the keyboard instead? Also, the normal mouse that you already have can be used to rotate the display by just moving the cursor while holding down MB2 (middle mouse button).

But if you insist, set the environment variable...

UGII_FKEY_DYNAMICS=1

Now you can 'Pan' your display by simply moving the cursor while the F1 key is depressed. Moving the cursor while the F2 key is depressed will 'Zoom' the display and moving the cursor while holding down the F3 key will rotate the image. Note that this 'option' was implemented so that former SDRC customers could have the same display manipulation behavior using NX that they had with Ideas.

To cycle between window I use a WA by customizing the view shortcut menu with the "more" button. Have a look at the image
