This wire wrapped fastener lock, looks interesting. I was thinking of using it in an aircraft application instead of elastic stop nuts. However I cannot find any certifications that would enable it to be used as such . The maker says they are working on it, but I find little usage so far. Has any body out there got hands on experience with this fastener lock? B.E.

I get the idea from the lack of response on this subject, that nobody looking has had any experience with this type of retainer.

Correct. They appear to be very interesting and useful devices, but I've never seen them before.

Never seen it before.
Looks interesting, but seems to rely on friction between the lock and the bolt.

If the manufacturer could sell it into the dirt bike aftermarket, and get some positive feedback, then they might have something.

I'd expect resistance in the aircraft market just because of the extra weight, and complexity of an added part and the associated paperwork.
