Hi,

Can anyone give some advice on the K valve to use for a 45 y branch on a 760mm CLS pipe and 760 branch. We are looking to use a 45Y versus a 90 Deg branch connection to reduce headloss.

Assistance appreciated

Thanks for your help. The guide is comprehensive for a suppliers document.

Using Miller - Internal flow systems (BHRA pub) fig 13.19
Pipe 1 is the 45deg offset
Pipe 2 is the straight thru pipe
Pipe 3 is the original pipe
Q1/Q3 0.12 0.3 0.55 0.7 0.9 1.0
K 0.8 0.6 0.4 0.3 0.4 0.45

The graph includes the variation of diameters on the other axis. The values above are one axis where both pipes are the same diameter.
