I am taking a shot in the dark with this, but does anyone know where I could get a "general" procedure for sizing, along with all other things involved, of a junction box mounted to a skid for the oil/gas industry?

THANKS!

Check the NEC for minimum pull box or junction box size based on the size of the entering cables. This is a minimum and a good starting place. If you are entering a lot of control cables, rather than power cables, check the NEC for the minimum volume required (cubic inches) for each conductor.

Thanks waross. I will look into it.

I totally agree with waross, (here [lol]), and would add "add a little more space" as a too-small box/es can really hurt later on.
