I'm gonna guess that this has been asked before - if so, please direct me to the thread(s) for help.

I'm running SW 2010 SP4 with Windows 7 Pro v6.1, 64 bit on a Pavilion AMD II X4 2900 Mhz processor, 10GB ram, Quadro FX1800. I keep losing my journal file at start-up. I've tried clearing the registry and re-entering the swxJRNL.swj file several times but the start-up error recurs. I keep seeing the following in the SolidWorks Journal Files location in the registry:

C:\Users\CURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_USERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERER\AppData\Roaming\CURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_UCURRENT_USERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERERolidWorks 2010

Any ideas on what's going on and how I can remedy this???

Thanks for the help - Dave.

It sounds like you may have one or more sessions of SolidWorks remaining active after closing. Check the Task Manager (Ctrl Alt Delete) for any running processes.

After closing SW run the attached .bat file.
