Has anyone had experience welding thin (.030") 29-4c to 316?
I have welded a fair amount of 29-4C to itself but have not tried the 316. The small quantities of 29-4C thin wall tube I require have become almost unobtainable and so I would like to try a more readily available material.

Any suggestions?

The information below may be of help regarding welding and seal welding 316 ss to AL29-4C.

Just wondering, if you are looking to substitute the superferritic stainless steel AL29-4C with AISI Type 316 ss tubing be aware that these are two different types of stainless steel materials regarding corrosion, mechanical properties, and thermal conductivity.
