Hello,

I have the need to fasten two dissimilar thermoset parts together.

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

Is there any type of welding that might work?

Is there any type of adhesives that might work?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Joe

Welding won't work by definition. Thermosets react to heat in such a way that they change chemically and change from a liquid to a solid. This solid cannot be remelted as it will decompose before it melts, therefore it cannot be welded.

Most if not all can be glued. The result depends on the strength required, design of the joint, the type of thermosets and the type of glue used.
