I was just thinking, where would be the best place to post about jobs?
i.e. if at our places of work we know there is an opening we could post it on here not with a view of giving out info but just to let people now there is a position available.

Ideas?

This is called recruiting and is forbidden by eng-tips. I would suggest not posting any openings (even if dont have descriptions,etc.) as you will surely get the red flag. There are many other sites where posting openings is allowed.
